Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery Community Support Activities:
The following services are provided by Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery at no cost to you.

Follow-Up Correspondence Program:
Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery provides a correspondence program to all bereaved family members that desire. The correspondence continues for 13 months following the death of their loved one and consists of a series of letters, grief and loss education materials and a variety of self-help worksheets. Recipients are able to use the information in the privacy of their own home. They learn that their feelings of grief and loss are normal and part of the journey through grief. The program also provides ideas for coping strategies that perhaps the family member is unable to think of.

Memory Tree:
All families served are offered a memorial blue spruce or arborvitae tree that is sent to their home and may be planted in memory of their loved one.

Lending Library:
Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery maintains a library of books, pamphlets, and audio and videotapes on the topics of grief, loss, bereavement and funeral planning. All materials may be checked out free of charge.

Speakers Bureau/Facility Tours:
Our staff is available and frequently asked to provide various community programs about all topics related to funeral service, grief and loss and helping the bereaved. We also are very comfortable with providing complete facility tours and answering all of your questions.

Memorial Flower Planting:
A special garden area has been created in memory of our loved ones who have died. Each spring the families served by Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery and the community at large are invited to participate in planting flowers in memory of their loved one. The morning planting is followed by a memorial service.

Handling The Holidays:
Each November Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery presents a program for the bereaved on getting through the holidays without their loved ones. The program is open to the entire community with special invitations to those we have served. This program is designed to be very practical with specific ideas of things to do to help during this very difficult time.

Community Christmas Memorial Service:
Each year on the Sunday afternoon before Christmas Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery presents a community memorial service. A number of local ministers participate in this non-denominational service. The program includes music of the season, a message and the decorating of a memorial Christmas tree by those in attendance. An opportunity is also provided in the week prior to the event for those unable to attend the memorial service to come to the mortuary and hang their memorial ornament in memory of their loved one.
