Alice and Ray Penick
Alice M. Penick
Alice attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins and graduated from the Metropolitan State College School of Nursing in Denver, Colorado in 1970 with her Registered Nurse degree. She has 6 years experience as the director of a Western Colorado hospice program. Her other nursing experience includes work with home health care, rehabilitation, and geriatric nursing. She is also a Certified Funeral Director in the state of Colorado and co-owner of Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery with her husband, Ray.

Alice's community activities include serving on the Advisory Board of the Hospice of the Uncompahgre Valley; and serving fund raising chairman to raise funds to extend Hospice into all of Delta County. She is a charter member and former president of the Altrusa Club of Delta, member and elder of the Presbyterian Church of Delta, past president and board member of the Delta Area Chamber of Commerce, PEO member, and has served as secretary-treasurer of the Western Colorado Funeral Directors Association.
 
Raymond L. Penick C.F.S.P.
Ray was born and raised in Cedaredge, Colorado. After high school graduation he attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins and graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1967. He then served in the U. S. Army and was stationed at the U.S. Army Mortuary in Viet Nam. Following discharge he began his funeral director career at Warren Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins, Colorado and later at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction, Colorado.

In 1985 he returned to Delta County where he designed, constructed and began operation of Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery. Ray achieved the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, a voluntary certification program based on continuing education and service to the funeral profession and to the community, and continues to be recertified every year.

Ray's community activities include being a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Delta, member and elder of the Presbyterian Church of Delta, Councilmen for the City of Delta, past president of the Western Colorado Funeral Directors Association and of the Colorado Funeral Directors Association, and past member of the Colorado Mortuary Science Commission.

Sonya has been assisting families with pre-planning funerals for 10 years. Having faced the loss of her husband and father she is familiar with the issues involved in planning a funeral. She is available to help you pre-plan the final expenses for you or your loved on. She is willing to come to your home at your convenience. She keeps busy in any free time that she can find by assisting with her mother’s heath needs, bowling and taking care of her yard.

 
 
David McIntosh

David keeps the cemetery and mortuary grounds looking great. He also digs the graves, sets headstones, deliver vaults and the many other duties that are necessary to keep Mesa View Mortuary-Cemetery running and in good appearance and repair
